SMS Messaging Compliance
SMS Messaging Policy Overview
DockCall uses SMS text messaging to communicate with freight drivers about their queue position, estimated wait times, dock door assignments, and to collect necessary shipping documentation.
This policy outlines how we utilize SMS, the types of messages we send, and how you can opt out of receiving messages.
Carrier Approved Messaging
Our messaging program at dockcall.io complies with wireless carrier requirements and industry regulations including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Message Types
Queue Position Updates: Messages informing you of your position in our freight queue and providing estimated processing time updates.
Door Assignments: Notifications for when it's your turn to proceed to a specific dock door for loading or unloading.
Documentation Requests: Requests for Bill of Lading (BOL) information and driver identification details to expedite processing.
Status Messages: Updates about your current wait time and processing status.
Opt-In Method & Message Frequency
How Drivers Opt In: Drivers opt in to receive SMS updates by sending an initial text message to our company's toll-free number. This number is publicly posted on signage located at our freight entrance. By initiating contact via SMS, drivers are expressly consenting to receive text message updates related to their check-in, freight scheduling, or other delivery-related communications.
